I WAS SWOOPED UP BY THE HOSPITAL BUG

Finally, we are home from the hospital...maybe some did not know but hubby had open colon resection so I have been laid up at the hospital with him since this past Monday. We made it home late Thursday night but now I don't have nurses to help just me. It has been a long week and to top it off I came down sick by sleeping in the cold hospital and catching the crud....now to top that off I have not been able to hold anything down the last two days. Sounds like I should be in the hospital now but lets hope not. Hubby pinched my hand to make sure I haven't got dehydrated which so far I haven't. Thank goodness for friends and family...the kids are all gone for the weekend for both of us to get on the mend.

I haven't really been able to get on the computer till today and still have not felt like coming around to visit but I will soon. I am even late on my ornament swap with Joanna, however I hope to overnight it this coming week. Joanna, please forgive me. I had no idea I would be at the hospital all week but I just couldn't see myself leaving hubby by himself while I worked so I decided after the first day I would just take the whole week off. Anyway I hope to visit when I am up to it soon. Thanks for those who wondered where I was...it means a lot.

Thanksgiving is next week and we will be staying home instead of traveling to my parents so I will have lots of time to visit and get caught up which I know I will have lots of reading.

BACK HOME, BUT .......

Home from the mountains...got back late this afternoon but not much in to blogging or visiting....I have a canker sore...those who may not know what it is just look above and you will see a picture that I pulled off the Internet. It is so painful, mouth swollen along with lymph nodes, hard to swallow much less eat and hurts to talk. Treatment is basically gargle with peroxide and water and wait till it goes away. This is the first time I have ever had one of these things and I hope the last time.

Until I can get some relief I will be in la la land wishing I was feeling better.

I'M DOWN BUT NOT OUT YET................

I HAVE BEEN DOWN THIS WEEKEND AND FINALLY WENT TO THE DENTIST TODAY TO GET SOME RELIEF...I HATE WHEN STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPENS ON THE WEEKEND AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BOTHER ANYONE AND TRY TO HOLD OFF TILL OFFICE HOURS...I DID MANAGE THOUGH BUT IT WAS A LONG WEEKEND OF POPPING TYLENOL FOR THE PAIN

AND I HAVE AN ABSCESSED TOOTH THAT WILL BE PULLED IN A WEEK OR SO ONCE THE SWELLING & INFECTION IS GONE.....IT'S ONE OF THOSE TOOTHS THAT REALLY DOES NOTHING FOR YOU...WEIRD TO ME BUT WHY IS IT THERE THEN? ANYWAY IT IS WAY BACK YONDER AND I AM READY FOR IT TO BE GONE SO I CAN GET BACK TO FEELING BETTER......
YEP IT'S PENICILLIN AND IT IS WORKING AND I DID FEEL SOMEWHAT BETTER THIS EVENING. I THOUGHT I WOULD COME ON AND AT LEAST GIVE A HEADS UP WHERE I WAS.

BOUGHT SOME NEAT TREASURES THIS LAST WEEK AND JUST HAVE NOT BEEN UP TO TAKING ANY PICTURES BUT GIVE ME SOME TIME AND I WILL...

ALSO GOT A FEW THINGS FROM SOME SPECIAL FRIENDS THAT I WANT TO SHARE BUT PLEASE EXCUSE ME TILL I GET TO FEELING BETTER.

GUESS WHAT...................

Just a short stop in...I went to the doctor this morning for some relief of a head cold and sore throat...Isn't everyone else been sick here and there with the way this weather is starting to go back and forth....well I would stay around and visit but I feel so bad so back on the couch with my cough syrup and it's the good kind that really works. I am also on antibiotics so I hope tomorrow I will feel better and get to go back to work...when it rains it pours...I haven't worked a full week in three weeks....oh well I have a great boss so that is always great to not have to worry about your job when your out.

I am thankful my son is alive today!!!

Morning....I have had so much going on this last week...I got a call Saturday evening from my son in law that my son had an asthma attack and he was at the hospital. Well I knew his last one was bad but this was a mother's worst nightmare. My son was put on life support. He was sent to The Children's Hospital in Macon. He was on the vent for two days and then we stayed another couple of days to just watch him. He is home now and just really tired but that is to be expected with all that he has been through.

Tomorrow I will try to get back to my regular posting and getting around to visit many blogs. I know I have missed seeing all my favorite blogs and noticed I have had a few new friends stopped by so I will try to get back to everyone over the next few days.

PRAYERS NEEDED FOR BABY CORA

Last week I stumbled upon this blog in the middle of the night when I could not sleep...and then I sat and read this entire blog...tears just flowed and i could not get back to bed...I got a glimpse of Baby Cora and the fight she is going through...I have been checking this families blog out over the last few days and going back and rereading things that I might have missed...call me strange but I love to know about the people I communicate through blogging...it gives me that feeling I have known them forever...anyway please go over and give this family some uplifting of prayers...they really need all the support for this fight they have been given with just in the last few weeks.

Thought I would stop in and say I have been sick since Monday evening...will try to get around later in the week...fever, cold, cough, sore throat, etc....so back to bed..had to try and eat a little of chicken soup...does make me feel little better when I do have some soup.
